Robot Kit Information

The 2014 Summer Camp used the Lego Mindstorms Educational Kit purchaed from Lego Education.  Our kits ran the NXT 2.0 system, which is the previous generation Mindstorm.  Since these units are discontinued, the cost associated with them have gone up significantly if you buy new.  You can find used sets on E-Bay for around $200.

Robot Build Projects

The projects came from http://www.nxtprograms.com.  Both build instructions and programs are available. The students specifically built as part of their learning activities ahead of Battle Bots the following:

• 3-Motor Chassis
• Explorer Bot
• Line Follower
• Baseball Batter

Additionally, the campers did a number of other builds if they had time available.
